The Philip K. Dick Collection to be Released This October

I realized it’s still six weeks away but when I saw this on Amazon I knew I just had to write up a post on it. As a huge fan of Philip K. Dick, I think most readers of the author would agree that he’s left an invaluable mark on science fiction literature. His novels time and time again have broken the mould into our most preconceived notions about, not only what a science fiction novel should be, but also the nature of perception itself, as well as the reality we all live in.

On October 15th, 2009, the Library of America will be releasing its boxed set of the Philip K. Dick Collection, which encompasses 13 novels across three hardcover volumes. The entire collection was edited by Jonathon Lethem and comprises more than 2800 pages of the author’s work. The durable case is made with heavy boards and protected by high-gloss lamination.
The following is a list of the novels:
The Man in the High Castle • The Three Stigmata of Palmer Eldritch • Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? • Ubik • Martian Time-Slip • Dr. Bloodmoney • Now Wait for Last Year • Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said • A Scanner Darkly • A Maze of Death • VALIS • The Divine Invasion • The Transmigration of Timothy Archer
Be sure to pre-order you copies today, I know I sure will.
